Friend's parents were murdered--please send good thoughts

Very sad news from Yanti-land ...

Close family friends were just murdered in their home in Jakarta. Their family, like ours, have lived there forever. The Mrs. taught at our high school and was very close to my mom for many years. Their three kids went all the way through school with my bro, sister and I, and one of them returned to also teach at our school as his mother had done. The Mr. and Mrs. were both murdered in their home this evening ... it looks like a botched burglary, but we don't know.

He was here in town for our high school reunion this weekend--my sister's husband (also a longtime schoolmate) was with him when he got the news about his parents (who live very close to my parents). My sister and her husband are with him now, trying to get him on a plane back to Jakarta and contact the other siblings ... basically, to be his family, as we are.

I'm holding the fort down and taking over for my sister. I'm not in good shape as I'm recovering from dengue fever.

Anyhow, I am at such a loss, except to please ask for your good thoughts/prayers/etc.
