OMG, you're freaking hysterical.

The BCTC club is going to do a 50/50 raffle to spice up the post-race activities! Woohooo. I hope they have a dj this year, Steve moved!

The water temperature at the Dorchester Reservoir ranged between 80-83* last night when I tempted it at three spots at arms-length-distance from the surface.

USAT rules say wetsuit wearers in temps 78-84* are ineligible for age group awards.  Wetsuits aren't permissable in water 84*+.

I contacted the race director through email today to ask how closely they plan to follow the USAT rules... it's a USAT sanctioned event, but I don't know how they'll keep track of who wears a wetsuit and who doesn't.

This might sound like a silly question - but this race is on SATURDAY, right?  Everything I see says the 17th except for the race listing here on BT.

Oooooh! Thanks for the Party City link! I'll check it out tonight!!! I was hoping to get a bunch, but at 4 bucks a pop I might just get one or two.

Wouldn't it be funny if they were a lot less expensvie at Agway?? =)

Ready? HA! I can't decide what running shoes I want to wear and I SWEAR that I had the same dilemma last year!

p.s. someone said that someone said no wetsuits... the race director never returned my email though. grrrrrrr.

That depends what the definition of ready is!  In terms of properly trained, well then no (except for the run), but I am looking forward to it so from that aspect, I'm ready!

Should I even bother packing my wetsuit?

WETSUIT ALERT!!

Rob and I were up at Dorchester swimming with the kids this afternoon and the lifeguard (and my body) told me that water was less than 78! More like 75 so I would say bring those suits! But of course be ready in case we were both wrong....but I'm about 99% sure that water is less than 78.
