Pre-race routine:

Up at 3am, ate cereal and milk, drank water. Caught cab to 23 and Consti, walked to transition and set up.

age group was really large, tons of people at the start. Swam harder than I planned to get to some open space. felt it at about 550 m, but finished strong.

I knew I wanted to go easy and smooth and I think I hit the mark on the bike. I spun comfortably for 80% of the time.

I knew this would be tough for me, so I did a run/walk, walking when my heart rate went to about 175.

Run a ton more.

Warm down:

walked around the finish line fest. Drank a water, ate chicken burrito

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I almost bailed on this race because I didn't complete much organized training in April, May and June. My ironman friend told me to suck it up and do it, to gauge myself and organize my training for Irongirl in August.
