For those of you in the path, BE SAFE!

If the power goes out, that's a good time to...

  • Get on your trainer
  • Do core strength training
  • Practice your transitions
  • Benchpress toddlers (they'll have fun, you'll get a workout)
  • Use your large water bottles for weight training
  • Cross-train
  • Learn to fix a tire!

Do you mean learn to fix a tire OR "Learn To Fix A Tire!!"    Hmmmm

Otherwise, nice home gym list you have there.

I live and train in Miami. Just completed my 5th long training weekend under tropical storm/hurricaine watch in under 12 months!

The bright side? Good practice for windy courses.

Good luck to those of you directly in the path.

Did anyone see the damage at the Vinoy Marina?  The docks are trashed.  IT's the nice marina by the Vinoy Hotel where ST Anthony's is.  We walk by it on the way to the swim start and ride by it on the way to T2.  There was a pic in the Tampa Trib and they showed it on WFTS13.

I don't think this should affect the Reebok race coming this Sunday, though. We swim closer to the pier.   We have already informed TD5 he is to go elsewhere or die out. Why  are hurricanes always on the weekends????

Tom says Dennis sucked out most of the red tide.
