What would you do differently?:

Eaten a little bit more in the morning and carry a gu with.
Post race
Warm down:

lots of walking and stretching. Ate 3 bananas, an orange and 6 cookies - along with a couple of bottles of water.

Event comments:

A very well organized race. Police at every intersection to make sure the runners were safe. Every time I wished there was a drink station there was one.
You couldn't ask for a better race in your own home town.

Course: What a beautiful course. The stretch along Lake Michigan is amazing. A mostly flat course with largest hill of the course leading to the finish line.
