Transition 1
Comments: The usual format of getting the swimmer (aka Matt) to stand still at transition and let me remove the timing chip. No use getting a tired swimmer to fumble with a velcro strap when you have a rested and ready biker to do the work. Transition could even have went better but we're happy with it. What would you do differently?: Nuthin' much, went pretty much according to plan. Bike
Comments: Bike section of Olympic relay race. 3 other teams competing. Our team led in every category including transition times. First time ever racing with new Easton EC90 Aero wheelset. Completed race only hours after completing 400 km Ride2Survive bike ride from Kelowna to Delta. What would you do differently?: Review course prior to racing to learn elevation changes, locations of corners etc. Forgot to install magnet sensors on spokes for Garming and computer so no feedback on speed, distance or cadence data. Need to seriously train for cornering before I kill myself. Transition 2
Comments: Fast T2 time. The usual routine of standing still and letting teammate remove timing chip has proven its worth. What would you do differently?: Nothing although I'm sure we could improve times if we actually practiced doing it first. Run
Post race
Warm down: No warm down needed, felt pretty good at the end. What limited your ability to perform faster: I suppose not biking 400 kms a few hours prior to racing may have aided my time. Event comments: Bike segment for relay team. Didn't stay around for ceremonies, too tired. Last updated: 2010-03-02 12:00 AM

Entered this race as a relay team so warmup consisted of nailing down strategies with teammates for better transition times.
