I really did not know what to expect from this race. My half-marathon PR (1:25) was set a few years ago, but at that point I was training for ironman and had a lot of long runs leading up to the half. This year I'm building up for a marathon, but my longest runs so far have only been 13 or 14 miles.

I took off at what felt like a reasonable pace, but was probably a bit too fast. I maintained 6:30's for most of the first half of this run, but the mile times started slipping a bit after that, and my lack of long runs started catching up with me. By the last few miles I was happy to shoot for 7:00 miles, as I had said that I would be happy with a 6:45 overall pace, and that was in reach. I ended up at 6:43/mile - not bad considering the lack of long runs and the sinus infection I've been fighting for the last several days.

Overall, I'm happy with how the race turned out, and I feel like I'm on a good track toward my Boston qualifying goal.
