I'm in for this one!  Blalock Lakes and Indian Springs are in the bag.

Mistletoe is my last race of the season, then I start training for this...

I'll see you there but you will be finished before me without a doubt.  That darn slow run I seem to be so good at.

haha Shark. I have to catch you after the swim. That, plus a late wave for Clydes, will give you a good 20 mins head start...

I did Indian Springs and thought the "Tri The Parks" folks did a good job, so I'm planning for Mistletoe. How is the bike course there?

Ive got Mistletoe on schedule. Its the week after my first 1/2 IM, so Im not going for a PR lol

I was looking at the map and noticed a lot of 180 degree turns in the bike. Is that true? Im not very fond of building a bunch of speed just to turn around and go back.

With an offer like that, how can I refuse your drafting? Consider it done and your bike split to be 5 mi per hour pace faster! For sprints, I ride my blade like my pants are on fire so get out of the left lane everyone haha.

I did it last year.  If I remember correctly you have two 180 turns but I think one is at a top of a hill so you don't have crazy speed built.  You have a few 90s but they aren't bad.  Once you hit the road back into the park then it gets fun if you are willing to go fast around turns.

That hill in the run is what is insane.  You'll hear a few dirty words as people approach that bad boy.

Yes, 2 180 turns w/1 at the top of a hill and the other after a long flat. Met a group out there today for a run through. Good news and bad news. The first half of the bike is very hilly, but not rolling so there's not much time to build up speed going downhill. We were all short of breath after that roller coaster. BUT the good news is the second half is really fast, rolling hills and flats for the most part. I did this race last year but didn't remember all those hills... but I did remember that killer hill on the run!

Water was nice and warm, very calm.

I started up that hill and remembered the words of a buddy who does ultramarathon trail runs - "if you can't see the top of the hill, walk." Good advice on that one!
