i agree with jgrindle.  nice clean water, rolling bike course and a paved rail trail with a sprinkler to run through!  food was super fresh and delish, first place awards were very nice, t-shirts were tech.

bt really represented! and brought home some hardware.

the tfl boys did a great job and i hope to see them next year!

Great to see everyone!  This was a FUN race and a butt-kicker.  I'd sign up again next year.  Congrats Smoak and Mike!

Yes we will be back next year.  It was nice to meet a few of you.  I learned a few things yesterday, that I should be able to apply to Tawas.

I think the biggest was never walk on the run, no matter what.  Once I took a few walks it became to easy to walk.
I've been running with a bottle in my hand year, it felt funny not to hold one.
If you put your flat kit in a Bento box and hang it under your seat, there is nothing left but the tube after the ride.
I need hill work.
Swimming is fun, and not that bad.

Triathalon Barbie does exist Laughing

Again nice to meet you all

Glad to hear you all enjoyed the event.  We tried to bring you the best event possible.  Being the first annual... I think it was a positive experience for the athletes.

We are making a list of things that we would like to improve... so far its been minor stuff.  We will also take this time to come up with more unique things that we just didn't have time for this year. (like live bands on the run course)

There was a timing delay...and I think it our rush and fear, to preserve the event... we tried to make it right by everyone.   Smoak, you may have gotten a 1st place trophy... in a panic to make sure no one was shorted anything... its better to give more than short someone.

Glad you all noticed the food... I thought it was a great post race spread, included chilled watermelon, I hate when its warm.  Actual goodie bags. with usable stuff.  The shower my brothers and I put together @ 9pm on Saturday and the awards made custom by our dad.

Thanks to everyone that came out... hope to see you next year, and hope to see that TFL Triathlete sticker on some vehicles, cause your all part of the family now.  (especially after the reading of that letter before the event)
