Subject: Training between Races
I very new to Triathlons, I just did my 2nd race this season in June. I have another one July 24th. Two more in August and two more in Sept. My question is about training between races . Should I push myself then take a taper week before each race or just try to maintain ? All the races are sprints. I have been training since Feb. and dont want to lose what I've gained , I also dont want to over train. Any suggestions?

I would say yes. Start training after a 1-day break after each sprint (as long as you aren't injured). Work your way back up to full training within 3 or 4 days, and continue until the week before your next race and then slowly taper until race day.
I just did a sprint on Sunday and have an Oly this Saturday. Took today off, but I'm going for a long bike tomorrow, long run Weds, and long swim Thursday, and will take Friday off.
