Wake up eat bagle with peanut butter and a poptart.
Event warmup:

Rode a few miles at easy pace and then ran 3/4 of mile at relaxed pace.

Not too bad...I just tried to keep the pace down as much as I could in order to conserve a bit.
What would you do differently?:

???? Not too much...I needed to keep pretty close to the guy in front of me.

By the time I was on the run the temperature was in the low to mid 80s but it was humid so it felt very hot. I struggled on the second half of the run. Thank goodness for water stops every mile with cold ice water and wet towels!!!
What would you do differently?:

take in more nutrition on the bike.

Warm down:

Sitting in a 'mist' tent for 1.5 hours trying to stay upright!!! Should have just went to the med tent and got some fluids!

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Poor nutrition with a hot and humid run!

Great venue and good race organization.

Subject: Muncie Endurathon Long Course Duathlon
Overall a very good race. I probably could have shaved maybe 10 minutes off of my total time had I eased up on the first run and bike but I was very pleased with the race. I suffered greatly on the second run but it happens! This was a very long duathlon!
