We are highly tuned athletes, demolishing our previous perceptions of our own abilities, challenging the comfortable assumptions that our friends have made regarding us through the years. Here we gather to share information about our sport, learning new knowledge every step of the way. Ours is a noble cause and this is where we come to become encouraged, inspired and enlightened.

And our biggest, longest, intense-est conversations are always about leg-shaving.

So true, Phil!

And let me add my passionate response--

Woman's perspective--shaved legs (on men) are cool!!!

I think SOME (not all) women say that to men so they can laugh at us men for doing weird things.
My legs look liike a dog, so a shaved dog would be pretty bad unless Im trying to attract female dogs or creepy women

Well, shoot, you're figuring out our wicked ways!!

No, no--JK. What someone said earlier is true. If you've been training and your legs are gaining definition, it looks great, and the women who know why you do it (and aren't we the ONLY ones who count??) think it's doubly cool because of it!

So - I'm wondering if this would work - I think I will shave one leg and go about in shorts for a day or so and see which leg most of the women look at. (First I will ask my wife to give her opinion

You forgot most humorous.... you've gotta put all the hardcore training into perspective with plenty of jokes about confusing your own legs with your significant others' when lying in bed....

I would love to see that! Reminds me of my brother in law who got ONE eyebrow shaved off after a stupid night at his fraternity!

Hey Malvey! You could always do like one of my ex-girlfriend's did, and shave halfway up! ;-)

For pure vanity, because Im sick of looking like a mammoth when I get out of the pool, I shaved the ol' chest today I LOOK LIKE A 12 YEAR OLD! I don't think I can do the legs though. Maybe next season since this is my first.
