Comments: Started off fine, calm fun ride. I decided to push the pace a bit more, and was going pretty strong from miles 15 till about 60. At that point, the hills were getting to me, and eventually, is what did me in. I dont think I properly paced to handle the hills at Mountain Park and getting back into Roswell at the end. Mentally, I felt fine. I think was ready to get done since I had somewhere to be, but I enjoyed myself. Was alone for the most part, from about 1.5 hrs in all the way to the end, though I did have someone with which to climb Mountain Park. Nutrition was 6 hrs of Infinit in 2 bottles, a 3rd that I refilled with water. Worked great, except that I did not eat breakfast that morning. By the end, I was really physically hungry for some solids. What would you do differently?: Pace better. Not get overconfident without knowing whatthe road has in store. Seriously, I rode my steepest inclines of my training career today. Yes, a lot of short steep inclines (none more than 1 mile) but enough of those together will get to you. Tweak nutrition a bit, consider some solids while riding. Consider getting a new cassette for IMKY. Post race
