Comments: I felt so great during this run. The temperature, flat course, and cumulative training I've done led to a PR (by 8 minutes!!!) in the half mary. What would you do differently?: Absolutely nothing! Post race
Warm down: Nothing much, tried to walk around, stretch, eat/drink everything in sight while I waited for my mom to finish (she also came away with a PR!). What limited your ability to perform faster: Nothing really. Started the race fast, and kept the pace up for the full 13.1 miles. The race stats break down your splits for each quarter of the run and I somehow managed to keep a VERY steady 7:42 min/mile until the last quarter where I kicked it in at 7:36! Ate a nut and date bar, drove to the end of the course. Took the bus to the starting line, waited in line for port-a-potty, left just enough time to find my corral and do some stretching.
