Pre-race routine:

Arrived early to get a shady parking space and check in. Sat in the car and waited for race to start.
Event warmup:

Short jog from starting area to the southest end of the island.

Comments:

Started well, but it was deceptively hot. The breeze coming off the water was in our faces on the way out, so once we passed the turn-around, it was miserable. Kept the pace easy until the final hill repeats. Should have been faster since the tide was low. Oh well, still just barely a PR on the new course.
