Run
Comments: I went off to a good sub-8 pace for first mile. Slowed down mile 2 with the hill. Heat and humidity were tough inside mile 3. But, I ran a very good race for me on this day. My first sub 26 5k in a long time -- at least before my Marathon training. What would you do differently?: Nothing, ran well Post race
Warm down: Walked, hydrated, poured water over head to cool-down. What limited your ability to perform faster: heat and humidity. Event comments: Would definitely do the race again. Nice course, lots of water stops, nice volunteers. And, I did like the run course - interesting. Last updated: 2010-07-07 12:00 AM

My typical race-day breakfast of coffee, english muffin with cream cheese and hard-boiled egg. Got there with only a little time before the start, so mostly time to walk to/from sign-in area.
Reminded kids to run their own race as it was hot and humid. We all stretched a little.
