Pre-race routine:

got up early got down to race site ate breakfast on way to site. I had been hydrating all day sate and continued in the morning.

ran about a mile to loosen up legs then swam about 10 min

felt strong on bike until abut mile 50 when i started to cramp so i slowed down and took in more fluitds and GU

taken more salt on the bike.

major dehidration issues from bike running on pace for about first 3 miles then started to feel light headed and cold so had to walk/run through aid stations at mile 9 I finally felt like i could push it again and ran a ok pace the remainder of race.
What would you do differently?:

First take more solt with me I only took 3 enduralites in t2, Second make sure i have my Roctane with me. Probably should have done more long bike runs in training.

Hit medical tent for ice

What limited your ability to perform faster:

heat and humidity.

Event comments:

Good race they cant control weather. And with all ironman events to expensive.

Great race and great time. The weather was brutal and definetely played a major role in the run.

Great race from the outside looking in. I would love to see you swim. It must feel good to move through the water that fast.

totally agree with Karibu. Would be cool to see the swim that fast -- then to "slow down" from 24 mph on the bike ..... Great race!  Congrats on the good time.
