Ditto, ditto, ditto!!!!  Not allowing myself to race a run that distance until next year.  Giving the knee bone a break for continued healing.  But I am so bored and miss the racing season already!

We should all make a plan for a few race get togethers next year.  I'm thinking Mayo Lake again for sure, I want to conquer that run course!!

Come on down, Scottie!  200 spots still left for Saturday.  You can suffer through the run with the rest of us!

The morning is going to be a little chilly, but other than that it should be a great day for a race!

I will be there #143.

You guys are scaring me with the PineHurts references.  My right calf is bothering me now and I feel like the hills may cause the calf major pains.  Either way, I plan to have fun and I am looking forward to it.

Don't you worry, on your way back to the start point please feel free to pause and make a wise crack about the guy swimming in right hand circles... I've only got one arm that actually works well and if they'd only change the event to total distance rather than from point A to point B, I'd be ok... Alas, it is not to be... Did I say I'd be finished around mid-afternoon? I just wanted to make sure I put that disclaimer out there!

Michael

Beautiful, beautiful day for a race. If you're going to be in pain, cursing at those stupid hills, might as well do it on a beautiful day
And yea, those first few miles on the bike were freezing! Climb a few hills and you're no longer cold though.

I did really well and couldn't be happier with my times. And now I know which race NOT to register for next year!

IMO Pinhurst is the best race on the series. No rolling out of bed and just doing a triathlon.
You got to get yourself ready for the day.
I really enjoy the run course, nothing worse then having to run the same hills twice in a race.
Because of the air temp in the am the water was much warmer then I expected. CRAZY!
Great volunteers and almost no car traffic on the bike!!
Best t-shirt all year. Long sleeved and simple design.
33 minutes faster then last year. Got to love that! (Keyone - Carol, 10 minutes faster on the swim, video is working. Thanks Again. What we talked about will come after B2B half)

What a great race!  I beat my goal time by 13 minutes!!--very pleased!  Too bad I'm in one of the most competitive age groups (M35-39).  Looking forward to next year already!

OK now I wish I did this race, last year's shirts sucked and I am a bit of a shirt snob so I didn't want to sign up and get another crappy shirt...I LOVE long sleeve shirts!

Congrats to everyone!!!

Great race and very well organized. This was my first time there and I was a little surprised by the course. Based on last year's race reports I expected the bike course to be less hilly than it was and the run course to be worse! Still had a good time. Only wish my sighting in the water was better - I'm guessing I ended up swimming 2000 meters!

I loved the shirt, too!!!  I'm a fan of simple, and this one is perfect.  Next time I'm in Cary, I will go by Inside Out Sports and see if they have the extras in the $5 bargain bin.  If so, I will buy all the ones they have in my size!!!!!!!!!
