Swim
Transition 1
Comments: dropped to #26th place after finishing swim at 13th with slow transition, needed to be closer to 2:20 vs 3:06 . . . glad I wore the socks anyway Bike
Comments: lost my water bottle 4 miles into bike, kind volunteer retrieved it, but I lost 75% of the water, with no back up What would you do differently?: rubber band my bottle + have a backup bottle on my bike Transition 2
Comments: chugged some gatorade to recover from dehydration, also took extra time for some enduralytes. Still 13th for T2, probably slower T1 more due to where bike was racked Run
Comments: very hard to recover from bike dehydration, very lucky to be carrying my own Gatorade plus drinking race water plus replenishing my water bottle from the race water. What would you do differently?: did the best I could given the circumstances. Did get a small cramp in my side because I drank so much water . . . but very dehydrated still at course end. Post race
Warm down: massage What limited your ability to perform faster: worst issue was not having enough water on the bike and then the heat. . . GI distress, jet lag really weren't factors Last updated: 2009-10-30 12:00 AM
