Trying to dial in my fit. I saw a pic of my race last weekend and realized I looked pretty crunched up. Trying to fix it. To the guys that know, please let me know what you think.

I have no idea how to post the pic directly on to the thread. That is why I had to post the link instead. If someone know how and can give me instructions I would love to do that.

Open the picture. Right click. Save As somewhere on your cpu. Go to Tinypic.com. Upload said pic. Take url it gives you. Make post here. Click on the little Tree photo icon. Paste URL into specified slot.

I personally don't think you look all that "crunched up". Though what I'm seeing with your head... In this pic, you're looking at the floor about 3' in front of your tire. Can't race that way. So I'm not sure what your neck/upper back does when you look up enough to see down the road. Also looks like a lot of tension in the hands/forearms, but I could be wrong.

I have already adjusted my fit since seeing myself crunched up, so this is the post-crunch pic. I'll have to try to get some more pics with my head up a bit more. Thanks.

You're too far forward.  You want that angle at your shoulder to be 90ish.  Moving you back a bit will open that angle up and also get you a little more extension on your leg...getting you closer to 150.
You seem to be riding the tip of that saddle.  Is it an adamo?

It looks like your not actually pedaling and just posed yourself, your postion is different when actually pedaling. Raise the camera up a bit so its about even with the top tube, look down the road, and pedal. It will take several pictures to get your feet in the right position but film is cheap.

That's a good point.  I didn't even think about that.  You can also pedal for like 30 sec. and then stop with your crank arm in line with your seat tube.

This is a new pic. Dropped the seat 1/4inch. May or may not have been pedaling in the previous pic, but definitely am in this one.

Crunched up is actually good.

I found looking at the pro-bike fit to be an excellent reference for getting things right.

If your knees aren't touching your elbows, you're probably not crunched up enough.

No seriousy; I don't think many people have a better position as you have right there!

That position actually looks pretty darn good. Well done. Now go out and rock it for a lot of miles, and make some minor tweaks along the way.

Still think you're a bit forward...but give it a try and see how you feel comfort wise.

This is a mistake for beginner triathletes.  Not everyone is used to that position and many cannot generate the power with comfort that pros can.  Is it the fastest time trial position for 12 miles?  Probably....but not necessarily the smartest for comfort for the long haul.

If your knees are touching your elbows, you are too crunched up.  They can be close but you do not want your knees hitting your elbows (or any part of your arm) on each pedal stroke.

For the OP; position looks pretty solid.
