Comments:

I was in the lead for the first 150 meters. I heald back, and was at about 75%. I then drafted behind a swimmer who was on my feet. After the 900m mark I could not hold on and was on my own. I had 5-6 swimmers pass me.
What would you do differently?:

work on doing 1000m repeats with 0:30 to 1:00 rest.

well......ranked 233 on the T1. I need to work on swim to run. I know I am not swimming too hard. I had to walk up the switchback ramp. My HR simply got too high.
What would you do differently?:

GO to lake Wax. and go 200m sprint and go right into 1 mile run at 5-10k pace. This should help train my body to react to this type of change.

I did what I knew I could do. I would like to be able to average 23-24 at some pouint. but by next year I hope to be at 22-23mph.
What would you do differently?:

I am going to to this by riding more hills to strengthen my legs. The texas plume is a good plce to do so. Maby hill repeats of 3-4 times, 3-4 times a month.

I had a wardrobe malfunction. I was racing with orthodics that requrie me to run with socks. I forgot to take my socs out of my transition bag. I had put one shoe on, then remembered to put my socks on....I had to fish them out of my bag....but I was then on my way. Learning experence!
What would you do differently?:

Take more time and be more cautious when setting up transition....get orthodics textured so I don't have to wear socks.

I wanted to run about 2 minutes faster than last year. I ran a little under 2 minutes faster!!! I could emprove further. Maby by another minute or so.

Work on hill repeats.

Course: slight uphill on the way out. downhill on the way back. I tried to average 19-20mph on the way out, with 22-24 on the way back. I did not want to push it knowing the hills on the run would trash my legs.
