dweeks - 2010-07-26 6:20 PM I'm in, had to go the charity route. Active dropped me 2 times and race was sold out.

Me too. I started before noon and ended at 1:45. Stupid computer.  Still I'm happy to be there.

do the charity slots sell out too?

I volunteered and got on line at 1:30am. Slept like a rock until 6am. Was finished signing up and walking back to the car at 9:03am.

I am in! This will be my first Ironman. I went the volunteer route to get entry. The 4 hour wait in line was worth it!

I swam, biked, and ran 1 loop of each course this past weekend. I REALLY like this course, especially the run section out on River Rd. Its so peaceful out there!.....might change my tune come race day

Cya in 363 days! ha!

I got in but it was slow.  Signing up and dealing with Active.com was almost as exciting as my first triathlon was

See you in 2011!!!

I signed up on site. Worked the finish line until midnight and was in line at 6:00 am. Still not really in. Have to wait until tomorrow to finish the online registration process but they took my money and I have a confirmation number

I had a great time volunteering and training. I didn't get to meet any Bt folks but I'll be I saw quite a few without knowing it. Anyone recognize these two finish line catchers?

I'm in.  Took 7 hours of standing in the non-volunteer line on-site, but I'm in.

First Ironman! Looking forward to it. Haven't found lodging yet either. Seems like that is going to be one of the most difficult things to do. Best of luck to everyone that got in.

I'm in. This will be my second IM, I did Louisville last year. I volunteered this year and waited in the volunteer line 4 1/2 hrs to sign up.

Hi Everyone - I was able to get a spot online and was super pumped. I pulled the "hit refresh" for a while before until it let me in to register.

This will be my first IM and I'm pumped. I haven't been up there yet but want to go up for a training weekend at some point next spring. Anyone know any good ones?

Also, I heard the Northwoods Inn was pretty decent so I made a reservation there. But I didn't get a room with a kitchenette. Is it possible to manage without one or do people really need kitchens? That's becoming a big concern of mine recently.

Will there be some kind of online thread about this race for everyone to prep/ask questions/compare notes?

Thanks!
Ryan
