Or, as I call it, "Il Burrito".

So, who has signed up?  I will be there doing the 5-hour solo again.  Please let me know so we can cheer for each other.  There's a lot of passing back and forth that happens.

Also, anyone can still sign up.  I've heard, year after year "Oh, I keep thinking about doing that one".  Well - now's your chance!!!  http://www.burritounion10hourtri.com/registration.php

I've done the Fat Capitalist at Burrito Union the past 2 years and it is by far the funnest event of the year.

Highly recommend it!

Nothing compares?  I can think of a couple things that might.

I know, I know....I need to do BU one of these years just to compare.

If only they could put this race in early/mid August I would probably have done it a few times already.

Actually, we talked to the RD and he's considering swapping with another race he does in August and doing it earlier.  We said YES PLEASE.  The only downside might be getting camping spots, but that should be fine planning ahead.  In many ways this would be preferable.

I would love to have this as a race to do about 6 weeks out from IM.  What a great training day that would make.

Just not 7 weeks out, you're busy that weekend

It wouldn't be that early, anyway.  The other race, Duluth Trail Fest, is the last weekend in August.

That would be 2 weeks out from IMWI.....too close.  Even 3 weeks would work but two weeks is just too close.

Yes, since the world revolves around IMWI and all races were selected just to support that race, 2 weeks is too close.

Now, if let's say your spouse wanted to do BU and you wanted to do IMWI, now you could, because you haven't tied your spouse up for the whole weekend and you could justify a little downtime spent cheering people on instead of another weekend away from your friends/family on grueling bike rides..

Also, there are several options at BU that aren't a full 10 hour race.     If you were on a team that did an average 6 races, you would have basically a responsibility of 2-3 sprints (depending on team type).  Certainly doable.

Sorry, my posts were a little heavy on the me factor.  I hope that I can find a way to work it into my schedule some year because it sound like a ton of fun.
