Grand Rapids Marathon anyone?

Am I that boring?  You've already run out of things to talk to me about?  Wow - I thought we had something special.

Yeah more than likely. Been running them roads for 15 years so I am sure I will be down there. I want to do a fall/late fall marathon somewhere else this year too.

I probably won't be able to offer much in the way of conversation since I'll be bringing up the rear, but I am seriously considering the half. I've never run that far so I haven't pulled the trigger just yet.

I've done the full once, the half twice and worked an aid station once. I'm friends with the RD. Don puts on a great race.
Thanks to getting hurt back in April I have not been running, just a mile or 3 here and there.
So I'll most likely end up working the aid station again.

ask long as I don't f myself up running the Oktoberfest marathon in September I am planning on running GR! trixie...i can pace ya for a guaranteed Boston QT but it might be a little faster than you need to run but your a fighter so you can handle it!

BlestMama, if you are looking for a good half that is well organized and close to home check out the Capital City River run. It is in Lansing and goes to EL and back to the capital and is a really good 13.1 for beginners! Great support, great value, and the shirts are good to, and the best part is it is close so you don't have to get in a car and drive far when you are done only to find out your legs are so cramped up you can't get out of the car! Been there done that 2x.....it sucks major!

I plan to run the GR marathon...it'd be great to meet some BTers.  Right now I'm solo for the event.

I will be running the Oktoberfest marathon in September in Spring Lake as well, not sure if this is good or not.  We'll see.

I've been running a lot lately and have gotten pretty involved with stand up paddleboard racing, but that's a topic for another forum.

In short, I'll be there.

I am signed up, but I won't be able to run it this year    I broke my foot back in March, and I'm barely recovering and running enough to do my Oly tri in a week.  I ran the half last year, but I'm just going to move my registration to next year for the full.

I am considering running the full, but haven't signed up yet.  Great to meet you and Jeremy in Wisconsin.  I'm not sure I'll be ready for a full by October.

Nick - Thanks for the recommendation for Capital City. I ran the 5k last year and it was a great race, unfortunately I won't be ready for the half by that time. I think my husband (who also runs half-marys) and I will most likely stay in GR and have a night away from the kidlet. It's as good an excuse as any.
