My wife is trying to make me get a RoadID, I am resistant so far, just one more piece of gear to worry about. Do people prefer the ankle or the wrist band? I have heard the wrist is more likely to be seen my emergency personnel.

I think if I do get one my slogan will be. "How is my bike"? or "Is my bike ok"? "Did my bike make it"?
etc.

Seriously??

kellekl - 2010-07-29 12:29 PM "Every step of the way" It is a family joke from when they used to interview the beauty show contestants who would always thank their families for being with them "every step of the way". The first tri I did my family put that up on a big banner and it truly carried me through the last mile of the run. I think you have to find something special/meaningful/funny to you that will give you that needed boost when you are lagging mentally or physically. -k

Definitely.  I'm partial to wicked cheesy stuff, straight from an 80's feel good/overcoming the odds movie.  Some of my thoughts had been:

It's never crowded on the extra mile

It never gets easier, you just get faster

The only easy day is yesterday

If I had the room it'd probably be the quote from Pre (something the the effect of) To give anything less than your best is to sacrifice the gift.

Just got mine, this is the quote I used. I have my name with year of birth on the first line, the next two lines are contact numbers, and then that quote takes up the bottom three lines

LOL...maybe you should get a RoadID for your bike.  So if your bike gets smashed, the people trying to "save it" will know the make and model, all the components it's supposed to have, the seat height, and the proper tire pressure.  Those things are critical to getting your bike back in working condition asap.

haha!  Perfect!
