Tough race, harder than Columbia IMO.

Man that last hill on the bike just went on forever.  At least the weather was nice.

Anyone else not get a shirt?  Disappointing that they ran out so early.

Ken said they had a lot of people sign up late.  He did say they would get everyone a shirt though.

Yeah the late signups overwhelmed them, they had put the shirt orders in before they started getting the flood.  I figure I'll get with Ken at a swim, he did place an order for more of them, so if you didn't get one, let him know.

I'll try to have my race report posted later this week. But, overall, not too shabby for me considering. Technically missed 3rd in AG by 36 sec. Came in 5th but top guy took top Masters. So, I was 4th in my AG awards. That's okay, I liked the finisher towel with cold water more than getting a medal. Real quick summary: swim sucked (but for me what else is new?), bike okay (a bit better than the du in May), and calf hurt on the run but best part overall in AGs (31st out of 153). Good weather, great volunteers, and good post food spread! Finished in top 1/3 of AGs. Like I said, not too shabby for me. Chris - several club members took awards and you should have that email summary in your inbox.

Hopefully, back next year!

Hi Nicole!  I am contemplating really doing it but I have to make sure I can really fit the training with all my work related travels....so far, I have a feeling I can at least finish the race...I really need to get 2 races in this season....stay tuned...

I REALLY enjoyed this race, I'll also try to post my race report sometime this week. Ken and company put on a fun event. I did the Sprint and for me the swim was a big disappointment, although my time wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be (thank you wetsuit); the bike went well - I knew about the long climb having practiced the course, and the run was faster than I could have hoped for. I was wondering if anyone else thought the run, and thus posted mile splits we're a bit off? My garmin said I went 3.24 miles I think and had my pace faster than what was posted. It doesn't matter for the race since everyone ran the same distances but I love to analize the data.

I posted a 6th place age group spot which is the most competitive I've every been in a race
My wife took home a 2nd place AG, her friend was 3rd AG finishing just 40 seconds behind her. Fun race for sure, one I'd like to do again in the future.
