First tri now under my belt

After 3 months of waiting/training I finally did my first tri sprint tri this morning. Am hooked now. Finished about the middle of the pack, but not bad for my first event. One thing that shocked me was that I thought my first OWS went horrible, but I finished in the top 25% of my age group in the swim. Couldn't beleive it.  Bike was 18.0 mph average, I need to bump that up to about 20+. The run was hard to gauge because it was a trail run through the woods and some mud, hilly, roots, stumps, creeks, etc. Had a blast even though I was questioning myself why I was subjecting my body to all that during the race and felt like puking...lol  Can't wait for my next one in two weeks.  I am now triathlete!  lol
