Does anyone else ride this part of 175th Street?  It's between Olathe and Gardner.

I've been on it before and had few problems, but last Saturday I was on it at 6:30am and got honked at 3 times.  What gives?  Anyone else get harassed on this road?  Should I avoid it?

With 83rd closed east of Desoto, I'm running out of quality ride routes...

Last week I rode 179th westbound from Quivera.  It curves north and becomes 175th, rode that only to Lackman, then rode back to Quivera.  I didn't have any problems in that short section.  It was Sunday morning between 8:15 and 8:45.

I ride it frequently between Mission road and Gardner and have never had an issue, been doing that for a couple years now. I would chalk it up to a onetime thing.

Ride it all the time too. Always found it to be one of the more "jerk free" areas.

Last Saturday must have been an off day for all the jerks to get up early...

I had many problems there, but still ride it a lot. But, that is me, I seem to be a magnet for morons. Mostly white trash/ gun racked pick up trucks are the ones road raging and honking. No to offend anyone here if you have a pick up with a gun rack.

Doesn't 199th get a little tight west past 69?

Here is my usual route, sometimes I'll go north on Mission/Metcalf to add a few miles in.

That's part of my long ride route, I take 199th West from Mission to Lackman.  Not bad in my opinion but I'm usually out there before 8:00 AM on weekends.

Maybe with traffic might be tight.

Chip and seal alert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!175th from Lone Elm to west of Claire Road is a disaster and it looks as if they getting ready to start on 199th going from 169 west to Gardner Road.

Got this heads up from a friend at work. He said it was worse than just the normally awful chip and seal. I don't go that far west too often, will be avoiding it for sure till it isn't a mess anymore.

Rode 175th this morning, chip seal isn't too bad anymore, the shoulders are as clear as normal except along the right turn lanes.  I think the rain we had the past week cleaned it up pretty well, it was really nasty last weekend.
