Anyone run at Brookhaven college in Farmers Branch? Just wondering how safe it is in the mornings?

I've never run in the mornings - only afternoon/evening - but I've felt pretty safe.

Good to know. I went out last night and checked it out. Seems nice, but I'm talking like 6 a.m. when it's still dark. Safe for a single girl to run?

used to run in the late evening 10pm ish...   but I'm also a guy.   don't know if it helps but they used to have "panic buttons" type alarms on the path,  so if you were nervous you could hit it setting off the alarm

Honestly I"m not sure if it just sets off the lights and sounds the alarm, or if it does lights, alarm and alerts campus police.  I believe the police station is pretty close, I think it's mixed in with the city hall building next door.   Hopefully JB or someone else will chime in again.. It's been a good 3-4 years since I was running there in the evenings after a class.

Depends, how fast do you run?

I'll let Karen chime in here, but I've never felt uneasy running through there.

Haha I'm not fast, so would have no chance of "running" away!

I can't speak about that track but logic would suggest that 6 am is generally safer than 10pm in terms of people who are up to no good or prone to want to do someone harm. just a thought-trust your instincts and judgment

Nice place to run.  I am like the others, only have ran there at night.  But never been out there alone, lot's of students and people that live in the area using it.  Yes, the police station is right next to it and there are a few emergency call boxes/buttons along the run.

Yes the police station is right next door, and that part of Valley View is patrolled quite often
