Subject: Gear Advice for First Tri???
Does anyone have any advice on a solid race day clothing investment? The swim is in the pool and race is only a sprint. My vision is something along the lines of a one or two piece quick dry swim suit and a pair of tri shorts over top. Any suggestions on brands or alternative gear wouldbe helpful.
Thanks!

Aevero makes a nice and inexpensive tri-short and jersey. In fact, their summer promo is a freered jersey with the shorts for $32 - nice price. For another $10, you can pick some other colors as well.  I take from the plan to possibly wear a two piece swim suit that you are a lady-type person, and not a dude.  Check some of the older threads, but I think most of the women wear the tri shorts alone without a bottom (unless, of course, you are wearing a one piece).  There is a lot of variety as to support up top, where my expertise ends.

I'm going tri shorts for the swim and throwing on an Under Armor shirt for the bike/run.

Best investment I've ever made in tri clothing is my Pearl Izumi tri shorts. I wear those with some kind of race bra-type top (underarmor atm) for the for the swim, then throw on a sleevless bike jersey-type shirt for the bike and run. The shorts are padded enough for comfort but doesn't feel like your wearing a diaper when your swimming or running.
