Pre-race routine:

GOt up grabbed some food and started driving...saw tons of lightening in the direction I was going to....ugh...nice. Starts raining as I get closer. Oh well...we wills ee what happens. I know I can ride in the rain and wind!
Event warmup:

Shivered and wish I brought my full westuit!Rain stopped just beofre we were about to start.
Swim
  • 17m 58s
  • 1444 yards
  • 01m 14s / 100 yards
Comments:

this was short....one of the bouys floated away with the storms...HA- love it. Makes for a better race for me:)
Actually went well. My ability to swim straight has improved a ton. Started in the elite wave so I kind of just let them go so I had clean water most of the way...tried to grab on some feet for a while...you could feel them but not see them that water was dark!

What would you do differently?:

swim a lot more.
Transition 1
  • 01m 27s
Comments:

2cnd fastes T1.
Not much to write....done it a zillion times it seems. Everything was pretty wet!
What would you do differently?:

be 3 seconds faster so I was the fastest in T1 :)
Bike
  • 1h 27m 12s
  • 32.5 miles
  • 22.36 mile/hr
Comments:

Roads were wet. It was windy.. teh wind doesnt bother me much anymore.... all I am looking at is power anyways. If my watts are there all is good.
I was probaly a bit over cautious on a lot of the turns and there seemed to be a lot fo turns!
Really uneventful tried to keep watts just over 200....averaged 193. NP was 200...so pretty close
2cnd fatest bike by less then a minute

What would you do differently?:

This really felt pretty easy.... I definitly have more to give on the bike
Transition 2
  • 01m 4s
Comments:

3rd fastest in T2..... can think of a reason why but wont write it here :)
Run
  • 45m 18s
  • 6.2 miles
  • 07m 19s  min/mile
Comments:

2cnd fastest here too by less then a minute.
Wasnt feeling it much out there.... it was hot. Was hoping to not see Lisa til I was 4-5 miles in....almost made it that far:)
KInd of felt like I gave up and didnt care much at times.... not sure why. Had a huge pick up of speed at the end....where was that the whole run??
Happy with the pace.... pretty sure I have a better run in me.
Very happy I can run that after a 22 mph bike :) The interesting part will be how hard I can ride and still run.... I have pushed harder on the bike every race this year and still have had pretty much the same paced run...
What would you do differently?:

This wasnt really an A race....wasnt really even in the mood to race so all was good :)
Post race
Warm down:

Saw Jim and Nicole...waited for Lisa.
Got my hardware and headed home.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Wish I would have placed better overall...but oh well....

Simply amazing. So glad you are having a fantastic season! Trying to figure out how you can take care of business in t-2 and still beat my time by 50 seconds.

Ok, you have over 22mph on the bike and a 7ish pace run and you're still not happy....YOU ARE CRAZY!!!! nice job girly.

PS really wished you would have raced as me.  Would love that PR in my logs.

Very nice performance given that your body was tired going into race, the weather conditions were not ideal and that whole t2 thing lmao... Another great race... You are really putting it all together this season.. Remember February 14th when you ran for the first time after being injured for 3 months, i said your time was coming........
