Swim
Comments: eh, just not swimming all that well right now. Slowed up in the last 200. Think I'm going to join the masters program near here very soon. No reason to be out swam by multiple guys that I was out swimming 4 months ago. What would you do differently?: Didn't do anything wrong today, just have been slacking on my swim. :) Transition 1
Comments: Nothing wrong here! Bike
Comments: So came out maybe 15s behind Trent and Kevin with Brad and Eric a bit further up the road. Caught Trent and Kevin fairly quickly, but I didn't pass fast enough and they were still there behind me 1 mile later. Ended up never getting rid of them. Ryan was just 10s behind us and caught up to the group as well. So we had a bit of a pace line group going, though looked like everyone was staying legal. I was on the front for the majority of the time so I know I didn't draft much. :) Had a few bad spots during the ride, if I had a good day think I would of been over 26mph easily. Me and Eric had a little bet if I would catch him on the bike or the run. So when I caught him towards the end of the ride, I let him know it was me. :) What would you do differently?: Surge when I pass people. This is the 2nd race in a row where there was a good field and a group forms around me. Both times I did a lot of the riding on the front. Transition 2
Comments: Nice and quick. I had been first off the bike from the group and was first out of t2 as well. Run
Comments: Crap. Horrible first mile, gave up way too much time there. Ran great mile 1-2.5 but then got mentally beat when I couldn't hang with Ritter anymore and lost out on my podium spot again by 1 spot. Bummer. So once Ritter gapped me I kind of gave in. Not use to not being able to run right off the bike. Not sure what's up there! Post race
Warm down: Nothing. Talked and dumped water on my head! Talked to Brad who had a killer day and destroyed me and everyone else there. It was a fun race with a pretty good field, I may not of had the best day ever, but I still had a lot of fun. Aaron put on a great race and I will most likely be back next year! What limited your ability to perform faster: No real excuses, sure I could of gone in more rested, but I put out what I had for the day. So all is good. Last updated: 2010-06-07 12:00 AM

Brad woke me up at 3:40am, as we had a long drive to the race site. Ate a bowl of cereal, took care of business and then we headed out at about 4:10am
Did about a 2 mile jog with Brad and 400-500m warm up in the water. Wasn't feeling bad, but wasn't feeling great.
