Only minor stuff

I sprained my left index finger last October playing hockey and it's almost healed, which is good since hockey season is only a month away.

Recently added an annoyingly irritated right ankle, it's not slowing me down, it just hurts.

Achilles Tendonitis.  Been dealing with it off and on for almost a year, ? ?s?h?o?w? ?t?h?e?m? ?u?p?,? ?b?u?t? ?y?o?u? ?h?a?v?e? ?t?o? ?w?a?i??t?.?? ?

Achilles here too, since December-ish.Had to stop running for a bit, then modify my training. Still hurts at times but managing with ice and PT. Also discovered a great contraption to wear at night to keep the ankle from completely relaxing. My ankle is way less stiff and sore when I wear this and it's not hard to sleep with at all.

Been dealing with itbs for 2 months now. Not much running at all and I'm in the middle of my Kona build. Not wanting to walk the lava fields.

Priformis/sciatic stuff for over a year.  OUCH!  Still s/b/r however my runs are limited to twice a week.  Running really makes it scream.  Sunday did a mini sprint and have a screaming left calf.  My last Sprint is on the 21st and then time to see the doctor, a year of this is enough!

fwiw I've have a sock that is similiar,  I find the thing that helps me the most is eccentric heel drops, icing, and stretching.

Bone spur in rt. shoulder.  Makes riding the roadie almost miserable.  The shining light is, being in aero relieves the stress on it (I'm fine on the TT bike).

Swimming?  Well.....it keeps my shoulder inflamed.  I've been swimming in my brother's backyard pool, some.  But, the masters class is out, for now.  The thing I suck MOST at, bothers me the most.

I'll get through my last 2 sprints, and then I'll assess whether something needs to be done, or not.  I never see me (barring corrective surgery) being able to swim in large chunks.

Yes. I am recovering from a broken angle. On my second day of a two week vacation in Hawaii I was on an early morning trail run when I landed wrong twisting my angle. I thought it was just sprained, but after a week of icing it, but still trying to walk on it, it wasn't getting any better. My wife insisted that I go to a clinic and get it checked out. The doctor informed my after looking at the X-rays that I had a broken angle. He asked if I was a triathlete. I told him I was, and wanted to know why he asked. He laughed and said he figured only a triathlete would have that high a tolerance of pain andthat determined enough to try to keep going with a broken angle for a week before getting it checked out. Luckly it didn't need to be operated on. He said that he would put most people in a cast and have them use crutches to get around, but since I had already walked on it for a week, and could stand the pain he just put me in a stabalizng boot an let me walk around on it. He said I could take it off to go swimming or snorkeling, which I did. The only issue was getting to the ocean, but I figured out a way and still enjoyed the rest of the vacation.

Since I got home all I have been doing is swimming and a little aqua jogging. Walking in a stability boot for the past six weeks has precluded any real training. So my fall triathlon plans are on hold until next year. I go the boot off today, but he told me no running for at least 3 months. At least I can get back on the bike.

I've got a list:

May: my ankle swelled up after a run, podiatrist and PT said it was Peroneal Tendonitis or a bad sprain. I also got an entrapped nerve on my foot.

June: Ankle still sore, an MRI showed a SFX of the Calcaneus (heel bone).

July: Wore the boot to heal the SFX.

August: Got the boot off only to break my toes a week later (same foot). MRI shows the SFX has healed but I cant run now because of the broken toes

Sunday: got stung by a bee on my ride, apparently I'm allergic, my stomach has swelled up so big that I look pregnant!

I also have a Plica and some loose cartilage in my left knee. Will wait and see what happens if I (ever) run again but I might need a scope anf plica removal. Right!

Been a great summer to swim and bike There has to be some good kharma coming my way soon!

Wow - new places started to hurt just from reading all of that!!
I'm nursing some sore spots - front of rt knee (right below the kneecap) starts to hurt sometimes while running but not always. Chronic pain in the balls of my feet since getting clipless pedals. I've just kind of learned to live with it and ice after longer rides.

I twisted an ankle in my last race.. not sure I'd call it much of a sprain since I am walking normal now, only a little more than a week since it happened.

That's about it, but I have had too many bumps and bruises from trying to go too fast on trails while riding my mountain bike.  Two sprained ankles this past year while trail running too and a badly bruised hip while biking which halted my running for almost 3 weeks.

Goal for next year is to keep the limiter on and get faster the smart way, a little bit at a time.

Unfortunately I am dealing AT and mild ITBS and every part of my body is tired - One more run on Thursday and I will officially begin my taper for IMLOO!  I guess it's expected for me to be tired.

Been circling the main clinic in town trying to diagnose groin pain stemming from a bad crash 1.5 weeks ago.  IMMOO in 5 weeks......yikes!

Found out today that the pain in my heel is actually a metal splinter - looks like a broken needle. ?!Need to have surgery so my oly tri this weekend is out. Oh, and I also have a twisted ankle (from avoiding walking on my heel.)

Morten's Neuroma for me.  Second cortisone shot today.  My foot is nice and bruised now.  Hopefully this time it works, I don't have time for surgery.

Add another for Achilles tendonitis.  I had to really reduce my running to hopefully maintain it, but I think I may have lost some fitness.  Two more tris and I'll take a break from running.  Anyone use the elliptical in place of running?

I could only choose one so I went with surgery as I had appendicitis on June 18 and am just starting to train again.  I am also nursing a turned ankle and sore left calf - both of which continue to nag me.  Yuck.
