Subject: RE: Kurt Kinetic Road vs. Kurt Kinetic Pro run262 - 2010-08-13 9:25 AM I'm looking to purchase my first trainer and have decided on a Kurt. The 2 models I have it narrowed down to are the road machine and the pro fluid model. It sounds like the pro fluid model has 2 flywheels (a 6 and a 12lb) and longer coast down and also an easier attach/detach mechanism. The road machine seems to go for a bout $320 and I found a pro model on sale for $349. For any of you with knowledge of both models, is it worth the extra $30?
They also appear to have a computer for these trainers that allows you to train with power.. Have any of you used their computer on the trainer and how accurate were these power meters? Thanks! I was just on KK webpage the other day, looks like they are revamping the lineup and discontinuing the pro model and will be offering a weighted flywheel that can attached to the new standard version. You can probably still find the existing Pro models though. I want the Rock-n-Roll or a set of nice rollers, sitting still is hard enough! Regarding the KK CPUs with power. They are accurate of use on the trainer, read this thread. |
