Pre-race routine:

went to a wedding 2.5 hours away night before. Got home and in bed by 1:30 up at 4:30. At a bagel, gatorade, powerbar. Sluggish, still tired. Thankfully no booze at wedding. Wore new shoes though, dumb. Blister started to form on left heel but caught it before started to bubble up.

Need to improve technique a lot more... biggest room for improvement I think is swimming. Finally comfortable in the open water. Want to go sleeveless next year.
What would you do differently?:

started to sprint too early before exit... chest started to 'swell' and suit was getting uncomfortable.

attack hills harder going up... need to feel comfortable in aero position so it would help with a headwind such as the one presented today
