Hey- maybe you'll place in this race since there doesn't seem to be a while lot of people doing it.  Bring home the gold!

I'll be there; I noticed a couple of others signed up on the upcoming races section of the Home page. This will be my first Oly; since you're from Augusta it's sorta like home course for you isn't it? How hard is the course for a first time Oly person?

I actually don't train in that area (it's ~90 miles from Augusta. E-mail from the RD yesterday said the run is mostly flat, and the bike course elevation is below. There's 871' of elevation gain, but spread out over 22 miles, it shouldn't be that bad. Mostly rollers, with it looks like two decent climbs.

You should have; I like to support the GA tris. It's so nice to have tris reasonably close, and regularly.

I was originally going to do this one, but decided to do an olympic tri in Chattanooga 2 weeks ago instead.  I didn't think I'd want to do 2 olympic tri's within 2 weeks of each other.  I might do the sprint tri in Jackson next month if I don't end up doing a TT that's the same morning here in Augusta.

Yeah, I'm signed up for High Falls too; since it's a Sprint I felt like I could do it as sort of a training thing in between Russell and Tugaloo. Are you doing Tugaloo? My whole season has been around training to do that distance comforably - so I guess that's my A race. Although I'm so slow that I'm only racing myself.

Cool- hopefully I'll see you in High Falls if I don't do that TT!  I'm not doing Tugaloo becuase I have too many races on the calendar already- check out my race calendar.  I'm not addicted at all!

Ya'll have fun at the race tomorrow- I wish I was going!  I'm alrready jealous, and will  be even more jealous if ya'll get a bunch of valuable goodies in your race packets.  And...if the race t-shirt is cool then I'll be crying!!

Not really..if you've done one of the Tri the Parks before, then you know what's in it; a tee, a cap, some gel, endurolyte, safety pins, numbers, sunscreen.  Pretty poor race packet in my book.

I'm not doing this race, but I did do another of the tri the parks races this year. I think it's a pretty decent race packet - I'm comparing it to race packets I've gotten at half-marathons and marathons (same price as these tris). I'm not sure what else you would expect to get in a race packet for the price, honestly.

Now I do think the shirt is ugly and I won't wear it - but that's another story. I saw someone with last year's shirt from the series and it was much better!
