Subject: SCOTT BIKES....have a question

While realizing everyone's legs/body structure is different...my sister was wondering anyone on here that has a Scott Bike...what size do you have and how tall are you?

Thanks!

I have an '08 Scott Contessa Speedster. It's a 47.  I'm 5'4" on a good day   When I had it fit, they added some risers to the stem so I could have a better reach to the handle bars.   I really do like the bike, though. It's a good entry level road bike.

My friend who is just a tad shorter also has the exact same bike and she is comfortable on it as well.  I don't think she's ever had a fit though.

My wife has an XS CR1 Contessa Pro and she's 5'2.25" (that 1/4" is important to her!).

But make sure your sister does spend $1000's on a bike that may or may not fit her... body measurements is only part of the fit equation, you also need to take in consideration core strength/flexibility, plus the interview gives you the information regarding type of riding, terrain, distance, current or previous injuries/issues... so lots more than "how tall are you". This is why you may see one person on a Small, another person that is exactly the same height on a Medium and a third person of exactly the same height on a XS... yes, the dispersion can be that extreme!

I have a Scott Speedster roadie.  It's a 52 and I'm 5'4".  Apparently, I have longish limbs for my height.

I love it!

I ride a 58cm Speedster S10. I'm 6'3", but it's all in the legs, so I raise up the saddle and the handlebar reach seems to fit my relatively short torso. FWIW, for races I throw on a FF seatpost and clip-on aerobars and boom, triathlon bike.
