Decided to do this one - even though I will be coming off a 2-wk vacation.  No expectations but would be good OWS practice (probably with a wetsuit) for the first time.

Anyone else?

I think it has and hasn't been in the past. If it is, it's usually just barely.

I believe last year it was not wetsuit legal.  The swim is great though, the best part of the race!  Very spectator friendly

Amen, last year I was almost blind for the return leg of the swim. You need tinted goggles for this race.

I was blind and I *was* wearing tinted goggles.

I'm in!

Looking at the temps this week will still not drop out of the 90's, I have a hard time believing it will be wetsuit legal

I thought they dump ice in the lake and take the temp at that spot?

Well, I'm out for this one.  Got sick during the later part of my vacation and still not fully recovered.  Having a coughing fit while swimming just doesn't work too well (tried yesterday).  I'm already committed to do the Toyota US Open in 3 weeks and I think I will be undertrained for that, especially for the swim, but I'm going to do it with the mindset of just doing my best.  I feel that I'll be ready for the bike and run and will see what 2 1/2 weeks can do to get my swimming to the point where I'm comfortable with the 1500m OWS.

I was just at packet pickup and overheard Staci telling a guy that there are still sprint spots available for purchase. Not sure about Olympic. This was about 1 hour ago.
