Subject: Shout Out and Thanks to my NC Peeps
Hey folks, what a crazy last 18 months.  From couch patato (took that from you Carol) to hopefully IM.  Miss you all!  When I took up this sport apx 18 months ago I knew nothing and thanks to many of you for great advice.  I don't attribute this effort alone, rather the things I have learned from many of you, the frendships formed, kicking my butt in training, and long rides, and especially swims at Lake Jordan.  You all have given me so much encouraagement.  How else could a middle aged man do something so damn stupid!  I couldn't affored a sports car, couldn't get a younger wife, nor fly off to Paris, so Im stuck with IM as my mid life crisis.

Seriously, every time I asked a dumb question, you guys came to the table with great support and words of wisdom.

I need one more thing, I really need a prayer on Sunday morning.

You got it Harold!  We'll be tracking you too with the Athlete Tracker!  Most of all enjoy the day, it will be over too soon.  And buy all of your pictures the next day, go to the awards banquet and enjoy some Derby Pie the day after the race!

You are the man Harold and I will be sending lots of thoughts and prayers your way as you travel and race.  We will be streaming the race on our TV all day and will watch you cross the line, so excited for you!  Enjoy it and that beer at the end
