Anyone else that raced in this one that wore a GPS on the run? My Garmin said 5.8 miles and it felt shorter than 10k so just wondering what others with GPS or foot pod distance.

I did not race this one but its very likely you are right. I did another 10k about 2 months ago and it came out 5.5 miles.

I'm trying to figure out if my Garmin 310xt is having trouble in areas with tree coverage. I did a ride tonight which was 41 miles on my bike computer but Garmin dropped 1.3 miles of it. In open riding over 50+ miles, the bike computer and Garmin were within 1/10 of a mile. So maybe it was 10k but the GPS missed some of the run that was under tree coverage. Will have to do more testing I guess.

I measured the run at 5.93; still probably slower than a flat 10k would have been for me. I thought the swim was longer than 1500 (and with 2 guys faster than 24, the results seem to indicate so); bike was perfectly on though, and I measured it at 24.91. Race was fun and very well run!
