I'll be doing this race with my son who lives in South Riding.  Any other BTers going to be there?  Maybe I can answer questions about the course.

It started out cold but soon warmed up and turned into a beautiful day in South Riding, VA.  Both my son and I finished 2nd in our respective age groups with PRs.  Thanks to all the volunteers who did a great  job.  Nice goody bag with a racing cap, T shirt and towel.  Very supportive community came out to cheer us on.  Definitely on my list for next year.

Congrats.  I was there cheering on the racers.

My 15 year old daughter finished 3rd in Under 19 Women.

Two women from our club finish 1-2 overall in Women.

Sorry that I didn't know you'd be there.  I've enjoyed your posts on BT.  And I've always wondered...are you a professional golfer too??  Which Tri team are you on?

I am a PGA Professional and I am on Team TPR.  Thanks about the posts.  I didn't know that I would be there until the last minute.  I was doing an OWS practice for the Reston Oly Tri.  Finished early enough to miss my wife by about 5 minutes.  Darn it!

Hi Mike, I'd like to get my son a bike fit for Christmas.  Do you have any recommendations?  So far I have seen Doug Baumgarten at Sportfit Labs at Worldgate (Wherever that is) and Tribonzai (In Fairfax) recommended.  This is my son's first year and he finished 3rd in the competitive 40 - 44 age group.  He received the 2nd place medal since the first place went to the overall winner.  I spent some time with him on Saturday changing his bike position to a lower handlebar setup to make him more aero on his used Felt S32 that he recently bought, but I only know what I've learned here and I know he can be better with a good fit.  I'd like to get him to join a tri club, but with a new wife and a new child he's doesn't think he has the time.  He is a co owner in HBS Title company in Fairfax and since business has been slow he's doing more of the work himself.
