TypeA Girl Pilot - I'll be the one with the crazy look in my eyes and a good tan. I answer to HEY! a lot because it sounds so much like "May".

White and blue one piece TYR tri suit with bright pink trim.

Max, that is such a cute sign! I like it!

Great Sign! Can't wait to meet everyone. I'm going out Saturday night to throw Blocks of ice in the pond. Who's with me?

Temps up this way are down in the 50's at night. I'm predicting a temperature of 75 degrees on race morning.

Great sign Max!

I'll be bringing my "tent thing" in case we find a spot for BTers and want to throw it up.

Looking forward to meeting you folks!

MountainBreeze - Rob Frenette

BTW:
I'll be wearing my BT T-shirt before/after the Tri and I'll be on a P3SL w/ 404s.
Probably wear the same "getup" as in the pics here: (Hopefully lookin' better though) ;)

And, are we doing the "BT" on the left calf/shoulder thing?

I will bring a second tent and a second sign. I hope to find some ballons for the tent. I will be wearing the team colors of Trifury, Red Jersey and Black shorts. I am also planning on wearing (with pride) a new red visor with BT.COM on it. That way you can tell me from the other Trifuryians that will be racing. Kathy I will try to find you on Sunday AM so you can see where we plan to set up the tents.

As a good idea, everyone bring chairs, the ground is so uncofortable.

Ok- I don't own a wetsuit- so I am NOT throwing ice in the lake ! I am going to tryand get there by mid to late afternoon on Saturday to at least drive the course. Haven't booked a room yet- what is the "host" hotel and is the Marriott close by ? May & Max -don't know if the masses can handle this hard core rivalry!Do others own a BT singlet or tshirt ...Clothing for me: probably Zoot trisuit-aqua top and ususally bright blue running hat....
If people are going to meet for dinner I have no idea what's in that part of the world......
Max- great sign. Were the pix you posted @ Timber of May Type A?

Yes those were pics of May (Type A) at Timberman! We all should be easy to spot, with the signs etc. Not sure about the closest hotel. It's about a 90 minute drive for me, so I'm just getting up early enough to drive down that morning, hoping to arrive around 5:30 I think.

Lucky you Max, 5:30 would be sleeping in for us CT'ers.  We are planning on hitting the road at 4:00 AM.  That means up at 3:15 or so.  We'll be the sleepy looking ones.

Hudnick - David Head

I will be wearing Team Javelin top and black tri shorts.  My eyes should still be closed since I have to get up around 3am to get there.  So if you see someone sleep walking it is likely me, or someone else from out CT contingent.

Looking forward to seeing/meeting everyone.

Adios

Just wondering...from the post by TAGP with wave starts...there are no starts for any women over 34?

It's the next wave. TAGP cut off the last wave start.

Ooops, Laura, I'm sorry! I had gone back to look at the email just now, and there's a blank line between the women 16-34/Athenas and then women 35+, which may have caused me to overlook that on my cut and paste.

Golly - women 16-34 plus athenas in one wave. Those damn male RDs love seeing a good catfight with wet women, don't they??? That's gonna be crazy

I suspect I'll answer my own question when I go back to revisit their website, but is there a Saturday packet pickup like there was last year? Anyone know?

I am meeting a trifury team mate around 6 on Sat evening to drive the course and then get dinner. If anyone is interested in meeting me send me a PM and I will get you a cell phone number.

Boy am I spoiled to be getting a room so close to the race from my home. Only about an 1.5 hr drive. Oh well. Lets me sleep in for the first time in months

The weather for tomorrow as opposed to last year's 90+ with stifling humidity should be MUCH BETTER!

The forecast look like this:

Swim start should be 68F, pretty humid  (87%) as most mornings are, no wind.

By the time we are on the bike, the winds are gonna kick up from pretty non-existent to over 10 mph from the South-southeast (oooohhh I gotta go check the bike course!!)

The warming up and the breeze will bring the dewpoint down to an annoying 66% during the run. Temps will be in the mid 70s by then!

By the time all the trash-talking and lunch/beer is done, and we all break camp for the day, it still shouldn't have reached even 80 degrees down in Lakeville. Oh, and there is a slight chance of showers throughout the  morning!

So that's what I'm seeing. Pretty good as far as Augusts go and how bad this summer's been!

Disclaimer: I'm NOT a meteorologist, so don't blame me if the weather sucks tomorrow!

Ok, last post, leaving for Plymoth Plantation now. Got your PM Isis and thanks. I will be staying at the Fairfield Mariott. Plan on meeting with a member of trifury around 6 to drive the course and go out to eat. All things are flexable and all are welcome to join me. If you need to get in touch you can leave a message at the hotel or try to go through Isis to leave me a message she can give to me.

Look foward to seeing you all, remember your cameras, even disposables. Good luck and see you with my eyes closed and a piece of chicken hanging out of my mouth.

Joe

OK if all else fails, and we get too caught up in transition area setup in the morning, and no tents are set up yet, then I'll stick this in the ground somewhere and we can plan on gathering in that general vicinity at some point. Or if you guys with the tent find this after it's stuck in the ground, feel free to take it and put it by the tent if you don't have your posters....

....max, I think the only place you can secure your poster would be on the baseball field fences, around the perimeter of the parking area...this way we can keep this closer to the picnic area. Feel free to tack it onto the flag pole that the shirt is attached to if you can figure out a way.

I'll be wearing my TYR tri suit. White top with red on sides. Hoping to be able to use my Promotion sleeveless wetsuit with orange. Looking forward to using my recently re-built RED bike (formerly silver before the frame cracked a few weeks back).

Looking forward to meeting the people behind the posts that I've been following.
