How many times a day do you call/talk to SO when at work? (Page 2)

i'm surprised to hear so many people don't talk to their significant other much during the day. 

i'm the opposite.  i call her randomly throughout the day, depending on my schedule, just to see what she's doing or to say i love you.  and she calls me quite a few times also.  she rides horses for a living so she calls or texts to let me know she's not laying in a pasture with nobody around to help.  i'll admit though, sometimes when she's at home in the middle of the afternoon, and her friends aren't around to do lunch or something, my phone will blow up with "how long till ur home" or "hurry up and leave, i'm so bored" texts.  it always makes me laugh.

we don't talk long when at work, maybe 2-5min or so, but it's always nice to take the edge off at work when we talk. 

to those that don't ever talk to your SO at work:  come on people, take a couple minutes out of your day to call them and say hi and i love you.  it will make their day.  you can't tell me you don't have 2 minutes in a 8-10hr work day to it.

We don't talk during the day. Heck, I'm not even sure what his work phone number is right now. My husband's in the Navy too, so unless I'm in a ditch on the side of the road, he has more pressing things to attend to. 

I never call him...but he doesn't have a direct line, I have to go through the receptionist to get him which I just feel weird about.  BUT, we email CONSTANTLY, and since he works around the corner get lunch a few times a week.

Virtually never?

Rarely do I make or receive calls... maybe 2-3 times per week... but gchat is something we're always on!

If she calls it's generally an important matter or an emergency. 

Calls are almost never but we email back and forth all day.  I don't even know if I would recognize her work number on call display if she did call!

It varies as my partner is often in areas with no cell service but usually she calls at least once a day during the workday.  But we email a lot.  But I work from home and she works out in the field so for weeks on end so it's actually our main form of communication.   When she's not here I just talk to her over the couch.

I'm so excited that I CAN finally respond in this thread!

I have a bizarre work schedule (self-employed) so this is how often we talk when HE's at work (yes he's a he) ... maybe 3-4 times a day. Just to hear each other's voices.

Then a few hours whenever either of us isn't working.

This is particularly impressive because it's as long-distance as a relationship could possibly be ... Shreveport, Louisiana, U.S.A. to Bali, Indonesia.

You know you have crushed a lot of women's feelings now.



That's one heckuva phone bill - I wonder if Verizon has that in their 4G plan (better stick with e-mails)???

I know, it's too bad, because until recently it was the fine women of BT who kept accepting my open marriage proposal!
