I did Toughman last year, and I will be there again this year. I don't think I would call the run "brutal", but it is definitely challenging. Challenging is a much nicer word I liked this course a lot. The first and last mile or so are pretty blah, but the rest of the course is nice. The trail section through the park is pretty, and running by the base and then over the top of the dam and spillway were pretty cool.

I saved the route in the BT route tracker if you would like to check it out: Toughman Run.

My number is 455 if anyone would like to say hello. It is always fun to meet BTer's at a race.

There's a pretty good hill from about mile 9 and a half to about 10 or so. Steep but not too long, but for me what made it hard was that it is  towards the end of the run when it gets pretty tough mentally.

If you are in Northern Westchester, then you are familiar with the terrain; hilly, plus you are always either going up or down, never really flat. I've lived in Orange County where we have similar terrain for 25 years, but I grew up in Bedford Village.

Looks like we are getting cooler weather for the race which makes me very happy!
