I rode a P3 the other weekend and loved it. Wondering the difference between the P3 and P2 aside from components.

I believe the P3 is about $700 more - no, all kidding aside, I believe that the geometries are a bit different on the two bikes. I'm not a fitting expert, but I think the P3 is a bit more aggressive in its geometry. The carbon may be a bit different, but there isn't a huge difference.

I'd say go with a P2 and put the difference into a nice front wheel and a cover for your rear.

The P3 has quite a bit more reach.  It's made to be ridden long and low.  Alot of people don't fit them well...well being defined as having to ride it with 4cm of spacers on the headset.

P3 has more reach and may fit you better in the long run depending on you. I have short legs and a long torso so the P3 gives me more flexibility in the fit. Also, one of the big reasons for the price difference is the rear cutout has to be done by hand and increases cost.

Actually the reach on the P2 and P3 are identical in all sizes. The stack increases in the P2 in sizes 54 and up. The geometry of the 48 and 51 are identical.

The P3 is more aero then the P2 and is lighter then the P2. The Dura-Ace version of the P3 has a more aero fork then the P2 or Ulgetra version of the P3.

P3 is meant to be ridden steeper. The main pricing difference (aside from components) is that the P3 simply costs more to produce the frame with the full rear wheel cutout, but otherwise they share most od the same features. I just puked up a P2 yesterday since it simply fit me better than a P3, but different body styles will fit the stock bikes differently.

Basically the same bike except the P3 has a shorter headtube. That means you are riding steeper (your body is rotated slightly more forward). You gain a little in aerodynamics but potentially loose in comfort / balance. Chrissie Wellington won her first Ironman Kona on a P2.

BUT please avoid puking up any Cervelos like the previous poster did. The stomach acids really mess with the paint job.
