I'd get an aero helmet... that will easily carry over to your next bike and is the best bang per/$ AFAIK.

Nothing.

Save your money for the next bike.

This x however many people said it. It's a waste to upgrade entry level bikes.

neilcarter - 2010-08-30 7:32 PM What would it be?

If you were to upgrade to something what would you upgrade first assuming that we keep the frame?

Wheel ?
Group set?
anything else?

Cheers
Neil

The engine and contact points (bars, saddle, pedals).

I disagree.  Entry level bikes are still very good bikes that don't need any 'significant' upgrades.  However, in order to get use out of any bike, a person needs to be happy with the contact points, i.e, hande/aero bars, saddle and pedals.  However, once those things have been customized, then I'd agree to save the $$$ for the next bike!

Honestly Andrew, I was coming from an upgrade point of view....not really a swap out/comfort one.

I would agree that throwing a seat, bars or pedals on there that are more comfortable would be a good idea. But to try and significantly upgrade an entry level bike looking for higher performance is, imo, a waste of money and time.
