Accelerade PSA

The bad taste of Accelerade (any flavor) when warm is the worst of the sports drinks in my opinion, but none of them taste that good when warm. That is the reason I just drink water on the bike. I prefer clif bars or Accel Gels (Choc) to get my calories on long rides. These are washed down with lots of water. I use salt stick caps to replenish my electrolytes. I use insluated water bottles that keep stuff cold for about an hour on hot days.

The absolute worst flavor of any warm endurance beverage is the GNC branded stuff. I've tried almost everything...Accelerade at the 3 hour mark of 20 mile run sitting on my belt in 90 degree weather has nothing on this stuff. The GNC product actually tastes and smells like rotting meat. You would bathe yourself in Accelerade to scrub the memories of that product out of your soul.

Actually Infinit tastes good warm.  I crave it more the hotter it gets out.

BUT...I think the biggest mistake people make, IMHO, is using insulated bottles or icing down their drinks and then realizing on race day that they don't like the taste of their nutrition warm.
