Subject: removing a garmin device
I had to get my Garmin 310XT replaced due to the common failure to maintain time without GPS.  Now that I have the new one, it shows up on the list when I want to import garmin data in my training log, along with my Forerunner 60 and the old 310xt.  Is there a way to remove the old 310xt from the list since I will never upload data from it again?

This is done in the Garmin ANT Agent. Assuming you're using Windows do the following:

  1. Right click on the Garmin ANT Agent icon in your Task Bar (it looks like a Mickey Mouse silhouette)
  2. Select 'Device Settings'
  3. In the Device Name field, select your 310XT
  4. Click 'Remove Device'
  5. Click OK

I also have a new garmin and an old garmin but do not have the Ant icon how do I remove the old garmin?
