Tom -

Don't you know you're not supposed to race with something you haven't trained with! That S1 is going to feel like the stepchild - did all of this training with you, and now you want to leave her for another girl!

So I've heard. . Pretty much everything is new to me at this juncture in my triathlon career, so I just roll with the punches. Plus, this isn't my "a" race, I'm training for the 70.3 in Austin, so getting on the P2 as soon as possible ends up being an advantage, IMO. Also, being young has it's advantages. (and disadvantage of being naive)

Alright, my info...

Name: Jared
AG: M25-29
Goal: Finish my first 140.6... and, I'll be as bold as to say sub 11?!?
Suit: ProMotion Sleeveless
Bike: Fuji D-6 Comp (Black and Red)
Shoes: Zoot Ultra Tempo+ 2.0
Kit: Black 2xU shorts, and Red/White/Blue Zoot top (one in my avatar pic), white RudyProject hat during run.

Sounds like lots of us are down for a BT meetup but none of us have to put forth a suggestion as to when/where yet?

Any advice from an area local? @laurak11 has been on the Full forum and looks to be from Sandusky?

Well, just finished packing... about to pack up the laptop, get some sleep, and head out about 4:30 tomorrow morning. Don't know if I'll have internet access...

I'll be at the swim Friday (and probably Saturday too...) - the spiky haired, ridiculously good looking guy in the speedo...

but in case I don't see you...
...good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight (and good race!)

2 setbacks today in race prep.

first, on my run, my new race flats cut me open on my right heel.

second, in a moment of distraction, i went down on the bike hard. right onto my left hip. its pretty bad. . scrapes on my shoulder, elbow, both hands. Gotta get new bar tape too.

BAD LUCK

Oh man, that's bad juju!  That's why I'm carbo loading (read drinking beer) rather than training for the rest of the week.
