Subject: Garmin uploads freezing once in awhile
Marma, I've been having on-again-off-again issues with the Garmin upload freezing in Firefox.  I suspect the issue is with the drivers I'm using on the laptop & not BT, but I was curious if you'd seen an issue like this before & know a fix.  I've tried reinstalling the drivers once already.

Are you using a 305? If so, you probably need to delete some of the workout history from the device.  I keep no more than 1 month's data on mine.

Are you using a 305? If so, you probably need to delete some of the workout history from the device.  I keep no more than 1 month's data on mine.


It's a 305, and it seems to happen independently of how much data I have in the history.  I've tried w/ 1 month to 3 months of data & there's no rhyme or reason on that end.

Mine does it randomly too (maybe once every other week).  It always works the second time though as long as I close  Firefox and actually kill the firefox.exe process.  Sometimes when I close it, it doesn't fully close and then the problem re-occurs but if I kill the process in task manager it always works the second time.

Mine used to do it a lot more, and on one particular PC more than another. I updated the Garmin Communicator plug in and also updated the Garmin device itself  with the latest and greatest firmware. It's much better now.

This is definitely something that's happening between the device firmware and Communicator. Keeping those up to date is your best strategy.
